Dreaming of an ostrich : what can this symbol evoke?

A power that gave up height

Birds ordinarily figure what rises, steps back, escapes the ground. The ostrich belongs to that family and is excluded from it : it has the feathers without their use. This is not an infirmity but an exchange — what was lost in height was gained in speed and power.
