Dreaming of a storm : what can this symbol mean?

A force one does not negotiate with

A storm belongs to a category of events where action is useless : one can only take shelter and wait. That powerlessness is not a defeat, it is a given. Analytical psychology reads weather phenomena as images of affective states : they have their own duration, which no will shortens. It is therefore less interested in the storm than in what you made of it. Other approaches recall that a real sound — wind, rain, thunder during sleep — is often woven into the dream.
